The office
A demanding legal framework, in the client's interest
The Law Office of Maître Mourad Essbissi is based in Oujda and is a member of the Oujda Bar Association. It has been in practice for more than ten years, advising clients and representing them before the courts.
How we see the profession
The law is a text; practising it is an art
The office combines strict professional rigour in applying the law with intellectual flexibility in interpreting it. The two are not in tension: the first gives the client legal certainty, the second makes it possible to find, within the text, the route that genuinely serves their interest.
Law is a body of texts and rules. But practising it in earnest goes beyond that body: it becomes a craft resting on sound analysis, precise legal characterisation and the power to persuade, at the advisory stage as much as when pleading before the courts.
From this follows a way of working: every file is treated as a case of its own, requiring close study and a solution designed for it. Two cases that look alike on paper almost never call for the same strategy, because the documents, the deadlines, the parties and what is at stake all differ.
The aim of the office is the best result available — not through knowledge of the law alone, but through command of it as a daily practice that brings together learning, experience and the art of advocacy.
The room where appointments are held, Avenue Omar Ben Rabia in Oujda.
The place
Where the office receives you
The office is at Avenue Omar Ben Rabia, building no. 17, second floor, near the Radio station, in Oujda — a few minutes from the city centre. Oujda lies in the far north-east of Morocco, close to the Algerian border.
Appointments are held in the room shown here: a working desk, the legal library, and a seating area for the conversation itself. A meeting at the office is a seated discussion, without ceremony and without an eye on the clock.
Clients who cannot travel — living outside Oujda, abroad, or otherwise unable to attend — are consulted remotely, with the same care.
- Clients received by appointment, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Remote consultations for clients outside Oujda and Moroccans living abroad
- Professional secrecy and confidentiality of everything entrusted to the office
- A single, identified point of contact throughout the file
How we work
How a file proceeds
From first contact through to enforcement of the judgment, each stage has a defined purpose, and each is explained to you.
First contact
You state the general subject of your enquiry, without confidential detail. An appointment is arranged, at the office or remotely.
Study of the file
Examination of the documents, legal characterisation of the facts, verification of deadlines and an objective assessment of the chances of success.
Strategy and action
Choosing the most suitable route — negotiated or judicial —, drafting the pleadings and representing you before the court with jurisdiction.
Follow-up and updates
Updates at each stage of the procedure, through to judgment and, where necessary, through to its enforcement.
Working principles
Integrity, clarity and honesty with the client
The office's work rests on principles that govern both which files are accepted and how they are conducted.
Objective assessment before acceptance
Every case is examined on the documents before it is accepted, never on an account given orally alone.
A realistic picture of the chances
The client receives an honest appraisal rather than an undertaking that would lead nowhere.
Procedures made plain
Mechanisms and deadlines are explained in language you can follow, without unnecessary jargon.
Continuous support
The client is kept informed at the stages that matter, not only when the file opens and closes.
Confidentiality
Professional secrecy covers everything entrusted to the office, including at a first contact that goes no further.
